Dr. Natan Bauman, Ed.D., M.S., Eng., FAAA

Owner/Director/Audiologist

Inventor of Vivatone®

Dr. Bauman is a leader in the field of hearing healthcare. He received a Masters degree in electro-acoustics and electronics from Wroclaw Polytechnic Institute in Poland, and both a Masters degree in Audiology and Doctoral Degree in Audiology from Columbia University

Prior to his work at HBS, Dr. Bauman was the Director of a comparable facility at Yale–New Haven Hospital for 10 years.  He also served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Yale School of Medicine.

In 1988, he opened The Hearing, Balance and Speech Center and The New England Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Clinic (1997).  Both establishments offer patients the finest technologically advanced  devices and testing procedures for their hearing health.  The New England Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Clinic is the only certified treatment center in Southern New England .

Dr. Bauman invented the 'Totally Open Canal' Hearing Aid, Vivatone®.  Vivatone® was the first hearing aid of its kind known to eliminate hearing aid wearer's common frustrations of "feeling plugged up", or feeling like they were in an echo chamber.  Because Vivatone® hearing aids allow an open ear canal, the plugged up and echo chamber are eliminated and a more natural sound is heard.  It's size and ability to be worn behind the ear provides wearers with a discreet hearing aid.

Dr. Bauman has published numerous articles in professional journals.  He is a frequent guest speaker and lecturer at audiological symposiums both nationally and internationally.
